VINTAGE YELLOW PLASTIC ~POLIDENT CONTAINER W/ SPOON! ~ FUN VANITY / TRINKET BOX

Description

At first glance this vintage plastic box could have served any number of purposes...storing hair accessories, jewelry...or whatever!  When opened, it's true purpose was revealed!  The little spoon that snaps onto the inside of the lid reads
POLIDENT!
I have no idea if the denture powder was sold in this container or available separately.  But how genius!  The embossed floral design on the lid and ribbed body does not give away the secret!  Box lid measures 3 1/2" horizontally, 3 1/4" vertically (including the hinge on the reverse), with a 2" depth.  Base has 4 tiny "feet" and is marked Pat. Pend.  As mentioned, one peg on the hinge that holds the lid in place is missing.  This only means that it needs to be on or off.  What a fun vintage vanity or bathroom accessory (to hide) just about anything!!
