THIS IS AN EARLY ISSUE OF ONE OF THE MOST BELOVED TRADEMARKS IN ALL OF AMERICAN HISTORY --- NIPPER --- THE DOG WHO LISTENED TO HIS ( DEAD ) MASTER'S VOICE.  YES,  IT'S TRUE ... THE ORIGINAL PAINTING HAD NIPPER LISTENING TO HIS MASTER'S VOICE ON A RECORD WHILE HIS MASTER LAY IN REPOSE.   THUS --- "HIS MASTER'S VOICE" WAS STILL HEARD.  THERE'S A LOT MORE TWISTS AND TURNS TO THE STORY OF NIPPER .... BUT THAT'S ENOUGH TO GET YOU ACQUAINTED FOR NOW.
