    Description

RARE White Mountain 20 Qt Ice Cream Freezer HUGE 5 Gallon w/ New Tub * READ *
This eBay listing is for a rare find, it's one of the largest White Mountain Ice Cream Freezers made - 20 quarts or 5 Gallons in size!!   I'm having trouble trying to determine what all is original/antique and what are reproduction pieces so please take the time to review all of the pictures in the listing to see what all is included!!   The oak tub looks to be new and unused since it has no drill holes in it.   The inside steel can is marked: White Mountain Freezer, Triple Action, 20XG and the inside 2 paddle/blade pieces are marked 20H and 20F - these look to be original.   The main piece that goes across the top/gear housing is marked 20 on the top and the underside is marked 20AD and 12AD7 and this looks to be original as well.    Some of the other parts pictured look to be original and some look to be reproduction/replacement pieces.
I found that the main piece that goes across the top, I believe they call this the Gear Housing) is missing a screw on the 1 side but the other side has one so you can use that as a template to find another.   It does crank by hand but needs to be oiled since it's been sitting for many many years!!!    Another thing that I noticed is that the rod that sticks up from the steel can that goes inside the bottom of the gear housing which turns the paddles/blades inside doesn't seem to fit up inside all the way.   I think the steel can would sit on something on the inside of the barrel that pushes it up another 1" or so which will then allow it to make full contact to work correctly.     The first site that I found on google has a bunch of replacement/reproduction pieces for sale and I think the piece that is missing from the bottom of the oak tub is called a Pivot Center.    There is NO attachment that goes on the end of the Gear Housing like a hand crank or Pulley so that it can be hooked up to a Hit and Miss engine.   Some of the little pieces found inside the tub has some numbers on them as well.    The physical size of the wooden oak tub is 22" tall and 18" across.
Speaking of the size - this is outside the normal sized items that I sell but I plan to box the wooden tub and steel can inside a 18x18x24" shipping box and then putting this inside a larger Heavy Duty shipping box that will measure approx 24x20x28 in size with styrofoam sheet inside the 2nd box.   I will ship the smaller and all solid metal parts inside another box.   I would prefer local pickup or I can take the lot to a local UPS store and you can pay them directly to box this up and ship this to your location.   Because this is being shipped via Fedex, this means that I can only ship to the main 48 states only.   No HI, AK, VI, GU, PR, etc...
PLEASE BE SURE THAT YOU FULLY READ ALL OF THE NOTES ABOVE.   I tried to do a little homework on this but there isn't very many of these out there to get more information on them since so few were made in this huge and rare size!!!
