RARE METAL NIPPER DOG VICTOR TALKING MACHINE ADVERTISING DISPLAY FOR NEEDLES

THIS IS A RARE ADVERTISING PIECE! It is a small Metal "Nipper" Dog, the RCA VICTOR TALKING MACHINE COMPANY Logo Mascot. It was made to stand on top of a Store Display for selling Antique Steel Phonograph and Victrola Needles. A picture of the complete display can be seen in the book that was published by Robin & Joan Rolfs called: NIPPER COLLECTIBLES, on page 2-64. The display was manufactured by H.A. REIF MFG. CO., PHILADELPHIA (as is marked on the bottom of this cast metal piece). If I had the complete Needle Display and not just the Nipper from the top of it, the price guide would have it valued at 00 - 00, so you know it's pretty Rare! Since this small Nipper Dog was made of a pot metal/zinc alloy, it has swelled some over time, resulting in some small chips being lost off of it, but they are VERY RARE in Any Condition! Take a look at the pictures for the most accurate description of it's condition. It measures about 3 1/4" tall and the base diameter is 2 1/4".
