two concerts at the Sporthalle in Cologne on Wednesday, 26th September and the Grugahalle in Essen on Sunday, 30th September, 1984, presented by Lippmann+Rau in cooperation with HPS Promotion. The concerts were part of Tull's tour of continental Europe during September and October in support of the
Under Wraps
album, commencing at the Palacio Municipal de Deportes in Barcelona on 12th September and ending at the Hallenstadion in Zürich on 7th October, 1984. Recorded at Ian Anderson's home studio and produced by Anderson himself, the album was released on 7th September, 1984 by Chrysalis.

was the band's 15th studio album and unlike earlier albums where Anderson was the sole songwriter,

was the first Jethro Tull album since
This Was
(1968) where the majority of songs were co-written between all members of the band, primarily keyboard player Peter-John Vettese. The songs' subject matter is heavily influenced by Ian Anderson's love of espionage fiction. It's also the only Jethro Tull album that features no live drummer; all the percussion tracks were programmed electronically. After the recording Doane Perry joined the band on tour and became their permanent drummer thereafter. Containing the single "Lap of Luxury", the album reached #76 on the
Billboard
200 and #18 on the UK charts.
The poster measures 59.9 x 83.9 cm (approx. 23.5" by 33" inches) and is beautifully printed on thin, coated paper stock. Very light sporadic edge wear to the right side border, else in excellent unfolded condition, ready to frame.
