"Hocking Princess pattern is square shaped with a lovely center medallion and scrolls on the rim that look like
draperies and all plates have slightly scalloped edges. Princess is the 3rd "boxcar-load" pattern from Hocking   introduced in 1931. Princess was also one of   Hocking's 1st mold-etched designs. Pattern is considered Art
Deco. The Princess Pattern was made for 5 years in 4 different colors and is a 40 piece set."
